Set in the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) works as a waitress at local bar Merlotte’s. Though outwardly normal, she has unusual qualities of her own: Sookie can read minds, which complicates her world in endless ways. Sookie’s life got a lot more interesting when she fell under the spell of Merlotte’s first vampire patron - 173-year-old Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). Over two previous series Sookie, Bill, and the colourful locals of Bon Temps have seen their share of romance, lust, mystery, and murder as serial killers, attacks from anti-vampire leagues, and bacchanalian evils have crossed their paths. But just as things seemed to be settling down some deadly new twists, and the disappearance of Bill, threaten to ratchet up the saga to bloody new heights in the thrilling new series! |
