Following recent attacks around the country it isn’t long before fins are spotted in the waters off Bondi and thousands evacuate the surf en masse. But when the shark alarm goes off, it’s the lifeguards who are taken by surprise, because it wasn’t them that pressed the button.
The summer heat and school holidays have the beach overflowing with sun seekers, and the crowds bring more than just difficulty in the water. When a girl is struck in the head by a board and suffers an asthma attack, lifeguards struggle to treat her amongst the chaos of the crowds.
In the water, four Irish boys get beyond their depth chasing a ball into the rip. One can’t swim and has to be held up by his friends as Yatesy races to his aid. It’s all hands on deck as the Bondi summer comes alive!
