D’eva Robinson has always known that she was born to be a diva - she even changed her name to fulfill her destiny! A salon manager, her prized possessions are her wardrobe full of glamorous, over-the-top clothes and her shelf full of stylish wigs. D’eva demands that her whole family be every bit as fabulous as she is, so husband Dwayne and children Taylore (12), Jourdyn (10), Eli (8) and Journi (5) must complete household chores and time-consuming beauty regimens to keep their house - and themselves - looking great. D’eva has even inspired Dwayne to go to cosmetology school so the family can open up hair salons all over Las Vegas. D’eva travels to the home of the Browne Family, where wife Christie, husband Trenton and their sons Jeremy (14), Joshua (12), Benjamin (11) and live-in nephew Charles (17) run a scrap yard and live in a messy house where the boisterous boys rule the roost. Christie is a laid back computer teacher’s aide who believes that boys should be boys and kids should have the freedom to goof off and learn from their mistakes. Trenton acts more like a friend than a father to the boys, even letting the underage boys drive cars from the scrap yard around the family’s private property. Trenton and the boys treat the living room like a wrestling ring and avoid all chores but mellow Christie doesn’t mind, even when the boys are out toilet papering the neighbour’s house! D’eva must put up with the wild antics and pranks of the Browne boys and is shocked to find that the underage boys are allowed to drive. Meanwhile, tomboy Christie must transform herself into a diva with a glamorous dress and wig and must enforce D’eva’s strict chore and beauty regimen on Dwayne and the Robinson kids.
