OPERATION CARGILL

About the show

A mother of four young children is found murdered in her own home, her body lying in a pool of her own blood.

Blood is spattered over the walls of the toilet, the window is broken and the door is partially ripped from a hinge. This brutal murder scene is discovered by her younger sister, when the victim uncharacteristically fails to pick up the children from school.

Police cordon off the scene and begin the search for answers. Who has so brutally killed this mother of four in her own home? And why?

The science of blood pattern analysis is able to determine, from the blood on the walls, that the victim has been repeatedly beaten to the ground. There are an unusual sequence of indentations in the wall, could be the marks of a weapon being violently swung? And could this evidence provide crucial scientific links to the weapon, should it ever be found?
