From the Editor:

First of all, a very warm hello from our bubble to yours. What an interesting month we’ve had putting together this month’s issue of Skywatch – our first ever digital issue! As we’re sure many of you have found, this has been a month of developing new skills, drawing on all our resourcefulness, and connecting in different – but equally meaningful – ways.

We’ve also been watching a LOT of television! It’s fair to say we were already pretty obsessed with TV in the Skywatch team, but our devotion is at an all-time high! Thankfully, May promises to provide yet more televisual treasures for all us square-eyed folk.

We are beyond excited to share with you our chat with Dame Emma Thompson about her comedy-drama Late Night where she stars as a late-night talk show host. Speaking of national treasures, David Jason shares his passion for all things automotive in this issue, which segues nicely into the Hairy Bikers’ sharing the highlights of their tour of the historic Route 66.

The Crowd Goes Wild team have been making the most of their lockdown time by becoming incredibly creative with how they make the show – check out our behind the scenes feature with Ric Salizzo and James Copland from the CGW crew.

Now we have a bit of extra time on our hands, we finally have the opportunity to catch up on some of those classic films and TV series we missed first time round… and we have a couple of heavy-weights for you in May. The ground-breaking series Six Feet Under comes to Neon this month – a must-see for anyone who loves drama, and for those already feeling the autumnal chill, escape to the French Riviera with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in Hitchcock’s sumptuous To Catch A Thief.

As always, thank you for watching with us.

Take care,

Polly
